As i learned from the Red-Gaint movie's men working there , I learnt that the hero and the heroine comes to the sky walk for some shopping.Fortunately I was able to see Shruthi hasan and Murugadass . But unfortunately I missed Surya. The shooting for the movie has just started and hence not much updates or details the storyline. Will keep you people posted on this movie. Surya’s much awaited movie Singam's, release date is getting delayed due to lot of reasons.Previously the movie was expected to get released on May 28th. But now we are getting some gossips quoting the the Vijay fans are requesting Sun pictures to postpone the date to June month. The reason is very obvious - Vijay's latest flick Sura has just being released and Vijay's fans wants to avoid the strict competition Sura will be facing from Singam, clash two gaint animals ;-). But Sun Pictures wants to release the film before the holiday season ends. Most Schools and colleges reopen after summer holidays on June1. By releasing Singam on May 28, the movie will get massive opening since Surya has got the best opening among youth audiences in Tamil Nadu. So its a good NEWS for all the Surya Fans.You can expect to chill out at Suriya's movie during this hot summer. Watch out for the release date of Singam.

If you have logged into Sathyam's website recently for booking tickets, then you might have noticed that, the movies Saamy and Gilli were listed in the movie list for booking tickets. I was taken by a shock on seeing these old movie to be listed in current booking list.I dunno what they are trying to do.Earn more profit from old movie? Am not sure.Usually low grade theaters screen little old hit movies.But what are these movies doing in Sathyam cinema's website.Is sathyam cinemas going Bankrupt ?
Well , people can start speculating as they wish.But to get the truth , the best way would be to have a chat with their employees while you visit the theater for a movie.

Yesterday chennai super kings won the game in style after its initial opening loss to Deccan chargers.Go Super kings !!!.This time it was the captain himself who saved the day for the super kings.But it proved costly for "Chennai super kings and Dhoni".Dhoni had a severe injury while batting against Kolkatta Night riders.He was hit at the Right elbow by a pace ball from KKR.Dunno if he will be fit for the next game.It will be a heavy loss to Chennai super kings, if Dhoni is deemed as not fit for playing.We will have to wait and watch !!!.

The recent movie Dhaam doom which was released with great expectations failed to impress the audience.Ofcourse the film's music rocks infact music is the only thing that rocks in the movie.The cinematography is good and fits to the standards of Jeeva,but the screenplay and storyline sucks.There is simply no logic behind the scenes of the movie.The movie has nothing interesting with its poor pace and direction.The movie can be taken really in a better way with its theme.

The movie is only worth to be watched in your home PCs ;).

Hi people i have not posted 2 weeks ;(.I have not dropped this wonderful web address,this blog is very much alive.I had my semester exams running all over my brain.So couldn't find time.For now all my exams are over in fact my college itself is over.But we had some really tough papers and hope that correction is fair enough to compensate our bad performances ;).We are expecting the results to be good.The 8th semester results will be out soon.I heard that correction will start from 10th or 12th of this month and will take just a week for them to finish.But still there are other work such as data entry and so on.So the results are expected this month end.Many of us are eagerly waiting for it so that we can become a complete engineer as per records ;).

Kolkatta's Knight Riders Vs Bangalore's Royal Challengers - The very first match of the IPL.The league started with great expectations from both the sides.Interestingly Dravid elected to bowl after winning the toss.Knight rider's opener- Kiwi's wicket keeper McCullum made a awesome start to his team.He was just unstoppable hitting the ball all over the ground to his will.None of the bowlers were spared and everyone got hammered.He scored a whooping 158 not out of just 73 balls.He is a single man army.He just finished the game the moment he started hammering the bowlers.One must say that McCullum celebrated the IPL inaugural with his own crackers all over the boundaries.He reached his hundred of just 53 balls.He is the highest run getter in the game's Twenty-20 format.It was just McCullum's night in Bangalore.No one can ever forget his knock.
The summary of the match is: Kolkata Knight Riders: 222 /3 in 20 overs,

The cricketing maestro Sachin Tendulkar has decided not to run in the Olympic torch run.The Olympic torch run is gonna start in a few minutes today.The spirit of Olympic torch run has decreased since many iconic persons like Sachin , Kiran Bedi ,Baichung Bhutia- the Indian football team captain have decided not to run in the Olympic torch relay.While Baichung Bhutia declined to participate sighting for the Tibetian cause.Kiran Bedi declined since she felt that the torch relay under tight security and in such a crisis situation will spoil the spirit of the game.

The master blaster - Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar will be one among the 35 sports persons in India to carry the torch for the Olympics 2008 torch relay.Sachin actually volunteered himself to carry the torch.Sachin called Indian Olympic Association President Suresh Kalmadi and expressed his wish to join the other sportsmen who are selected to participate in the Olympic torch relay.The torch relay would take place on 17th of this month.The Indian Olympic association president assured that adequate security measures are taken to ensure the Olympic torch is safe from the pro-tibet protesters.Recently lots of disturbances occurred in the torch relay that took place in France,the torch was put off twice to prevent it from the reach of the protesters.

Now,the volunteering of Sachin in the torch relay has created a lot mixed opinions among his fans and all the Indians.Many feel unhappy discontented by his participation.Many feel that India should support for the Tibetian cause.Some people has raised questions and criticized Sachin for being selfish and not supporting the Tibet protests.Even i heard people criticizing him like,he is doing this stuff only for getting more attention for his sponsors like Pepsi who told him to do so.While this is the case with Sachin,Indian football captain Bhaichung Bhutia has refused to carry the torch and expressed his concern and support for the Tibetian Protesters and wanted China to free Tibet.However the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) made it clear that it will not persuade Bhaichung Bhutia to carry the torch again.But in Sachin's point of view,he said its a great honor for him to carry the torch and he has grownup watching many Olympics and its a dream come true for him to carry the torch.

The Olympic torch was forced to extinguish by the French police.The torch was extinguished and was taken into a bus to prevent the Anti-China protesters from reaching the Olympic torch.The protesters raised slogans and shouted 'Tibet' waving the Tibet flag.These incidents happended at the foot of the Effiel Tower,when the pro-tibetian protesters tried to protest against the Beijing Olympics.By ancient beliefs the torch should be burning continuously from the time it is lighted on Mount Olympus in Greece and it is the hosted nation's duty to safeguard the Olympic torch.The Tibet protests is creating waves all around the world and lots of discontent is raised against the China for not entering into proper talks with Tibetian People.

Its bad,worse,ugly and ugliest of the politics between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.These two state were always engaged in water wars for several years.Recent issue to this row is the Hogenakal issue.Many clashes and violences are occurring on this issue.
The problem started when some politicians initiated the issue ,demanding that Hogenakal land belongs to kartanaka(WTF?).These politicians have made Tamil nadu and karnataka like India and Pakistan,its a single nation and everything is Indian property.I dunno why the hell these people are arguing and fighting for the lands within us?Many believe that the politician Yedurappa from karnataka is the main cause for these violences.He is using this issue as a politican matter to gain their people's vote in the upcoming elections.'If you want to win your elections better recollect the nice things that you have done to your people,if you can't recollect or if you haven't done anything like that ,why the hell are you making unwanted violence and hatred between us(Tamil and karnataka people). The problem is not between the people of karnataka and Tamil nadu.The problem is with these filthy minded politicians.Because of them some unnecessary hatred feelings have arised between the people of two states.These politicians are are trying to create gaps and are diving people within the country for they own benefits.

Some violences that have occurred till now-Some cable operator's premises have been stoned and attacked for denying to stop broadcasting the Tamil channels over there,all the theaters in Bangalore running Tamil movies have been attacked and forcefully stopped further plays from being screened,lorries and buses connecting these tow states have been attacked,in Tamil nadu a famous karnataka flim industry director Vishnu vardhan's house is stoned and windows were damaged.All these violences to win a election ?.I dunno why the people from both the sides are not understanding this.They should be beware of such political games and shouldn't enter into violence or create any sort of hatred against one another.
Recently many Tamil cinema stars have went on a fast to condemn the violences taking place in karnataka against the Tamil film industry and Tamil people.The list includes the Super Star-Rajinikanth,Ajith,Madhavan,Sarath kumar,Vadivel,Sathyaraj,Manoramma and many a lot,a long list indeed.They all also insist to stop the violence on both the sides.Sarath kumar in his interview to a NEWS channel stressed that Hogenakal belonged to Tamil nadu,which was established long ago by the central governmernt and there is no point in silly arguments.
I hope the issue ends in a smooth and peaceful manner.Also i wish this issue to end as soon as possible.The relationships between the two states already has very poor records and incidents.'Unity in diversity',the slogan that India believes.I think its no more a reality,it has become just a saying. But no one seems to care about these things and ofcourse our country has the dirtiest politics ever and in such a situation its really difficult to maintain a peaceful co-existence between the states.Only the future generations should change the present situation.

April Fool's Day

April 1st, as we all know is the fool's day on which people usually make pranks and fun. Google is famous for its april fool pranks. Last year's was the best i have seen. Almost everyone on earth couldn't find it was a prank. Well, if you were wondering what, its Gmail Paper, "a free printing service for any and all Gmail messages". But, this time i personally feel its stupid( See here ). And also if you had noticed you must have seen "Yogurt" instead of the name "Orkut", Again stupid. I came across the following article in the BBC site.
Even if you don't usually read newspapers, make sure you do on 1 April. Some of the articles and adverts are cleverly deliberately incorrect. See if you can spot them!

Some interesting untruths have included:

§ The BBC's high-brow current affairs programme, Panorama, claimed that spaghetti grew on trees. (It was broadcast years ago in the days when spaghetti was considered an exotic foodstuff.)

§ A report on television about the invention of dehydrated water was broadcast, claiming that all you had to do was shine ultraviolet light onto a powder and it turned into water. The programme included a wonderful demonstration featuring a tap suspended from threads, with a funnel full of the powder on top. A strong light shone into the funnel and a constant stream of water came out of the tap, although it was not physically connected to anything except the threads. Photographs were also shown of an accident in southern France where a lorry-load of the stuff had overturned, causing massive flooding.

§ A full-page BMW car advertisement was run on 1 April, 1986, about their new car designed for driving between Great Britain and the Continent. It was both left and right hand drive, had pedals on both the driver's and passenger's sides, had a detachable steering wheel which could be affixed on either side as well as a full set of instruments on each side, the unused one being covered by a lovely walnut panel.

§ A mechanism that automatically inflated the car tyres was described by BMW another year. In fact, they run a spoof advert every year.

§ The British magazine New Scientist often puts April Fool articles in the issue which comes out near 1 April. The bogus articles have 1 April at the top of the page, while the rest of the magazine has the correct date.

§ A story that a new dinosaur had been discovered by the zoo was put out by The Isle of Wight County Press a couple of years ago. This dinosaur apparently had been found with the remains of a three-sided (not triangular-shaped, but actually three-sided) Roman coin in its stomach.

§ The German computer magazine c't is famous for their April Fool's jokes. Back in 1980s, they came up with the following.

At that time, a Swedish standard for maximum monitor radiation was new and nobody knew whether their monitor was satisfying that standard. Now c't claimed to have found a method to measure monitor radiaton with simple means at home. You had to stick a formatted 5 1/4" floppy disk on your monitor, exactly centred of course, and run a program which generated random images for a minute or so. Then the floppy had to be inserted in the disk drive and a second program had to be run, which supposedly counted the number of faulty sectors (destroyed by the monitor radiation) on the disk and with this computed the radiation level of the monitor. You could even tell the program whether you had a 360K or rather a 1.2M floppy. Of course, all the second program did was display 'April, April' on the monitor.

Indeed, the true effect of the joke was emphasised when the letters to the editor were printed in the next issue of c't. Someone claimed the second program was defective since it displayed only the aforementiond message and otherwise did nothing. Another reader said the whole method wasn't applicable to his computer since he only had a 3.5" floppy drive and asked if he could adapt the programs so that the whole procedure worked on his computer as well. He even got a reply from yet another reader who said that it wouldn't probably work at all with 3.5" floppies because, unlike the older 5 1/4" floppies, the shutter and other parts of the envelope are made of metal and that would surely spoil the measurement.

§ On Paris radio one time, they announced that all of Europe would drive on the left from April 1. This caused absolute pandemonium because those who heard the broadcast drove on the left and those who didn't stayed on the right.

§ In 1977, The Guardian published a report about the semi-colon shaped Isles of San Serriffe celebrating their tenth year of independance. It included an interview with the president, General Maria-Jesu Pica, and a competition to win two weeks' holiday in the islands. Surprisingly, only one person complained about the competition closing on March 31 (the day before the article was published).

§ Arthur Furguson was a rather remarkable conman who managed to sell Nelson's Column for £6000, Big Ben for £1000, received a down payment of £2000 for Buckingham Palace, leased the White House for $100,000 a year and almost sold the Statue of Liberty for $100,000.

§ Albert Einstein's chauffeur once convinced him to let him give one of his lectures on the theory of relativity. He gave it word perfectly, but was almost caught out afterwards when one of the professors asked him a very complicated mathematical problem. Thinking quickly, the chauffeur said, 'The answer to your question is quite simple. In fact it is so easy I'm going to ask my chauffeur to come and answer it for you.'

§ On 1 April, 1980, a London radio station announced that low tide had caused the cancellation of hovercraft services from Heathrow airport. Heathrow airport is, of course, well inland.

§ On the same day there were some businessmen flying to Belfast surprised to hear the announcement, 'We shall shortly be arriving in Paris'.

Latest NEWS in search of Life outside Earth-Possibility of Living Organisms in Enceladus,one among the 60 Moons of Saturn. The hope for life in Saturn's Moon arises from the pictures taken by the NASA's Cassini spacecraft.This finding took place during its mission circling around the Sturn's ring and taking high resolution pictures.

Scientists from NASA said that those pictures from Cassini has images of Geysers in Enceladus's South pole.These Geysers are believed to be sources of water beneath the saturn's moon.These Geysers are continuously shooting up into the space.Scientists believe that these Geysers are sources of heated liquid water below the frozen surfaces of the Saturn's Moon Enceladus.Also they added that the existence of lot of energy,organic substances and water makes it another very interesting destination for research in the Solar system.The research over Enceladus was started years ago but the images and recent snapshots from Cassini -NASA's Spacecraft has doubled the enthusiasm of the scientists.Who knows,we may have some wonderful Spacecraft travels to Enceladus in the future! ;) ;).

Today 'Vandana' a 2 year old Baby was successfully saved from the unclosed borewell under construction,near Agra.She survived in the borewell pit for 26 very long hours.It has become a very common incident in India,small kids fall into the unclosed borewell holes and a very long rescue operation is on the way.Many kids have died due to such careless acts.Not many of the kids were successfully rescued.Only a very few lucky kids like Prince and Vandana can make it back to this colorful world.Unless otherwise some strict rules and laws were proposed to stop such careless acts by the constructors,engineers and the authorities whoever it may be.Careful measures must be followed to close the borewell pits properly,so that accidents like these can be avoided.Imagine the terrorizing moments in those kids minds,which would haunt their minds over a long period.Think of those poor kids who couldn't make it back to earth.Government must initiate some actions and punishments for such carelessness.Borewells under construction or the manholes in the streets,they must be properly closed and maintained.Dunno how long these accidents will continue..........????

The movie is based on a South African movie called 'The gods must be crazy'.Its really a famous movie which rocked South African theaters in the Eighties. That movie was on a African tribal who gets to face the outside world,quite different and strange to his views.It all begins with a empty coke bottle,it seems entirely new to him and then begins it stupid experiments with it ;).Now in the movie 'Aathivasiyum Athisayapesiyum',a Cell phone takes the place of the coke bottle and Senthil is the tribal here.As a tribal a cell phone is entirely new to him and we expect some really cool and funny stuff from Senthil and hence goes the movie name,the tribal and the cell phone.The movie will be the adventures of the tribal person with the modern cell phone which lands into his hands accidentally.So its going to be a wonderful feast of comedy for Senthil's fans.

The Chennai IPL team made a glamorous and start casted launch today.Any guess of who were signed as the star ambassadors of kings?It was 'Ilaya thalapathy' vijay and the glamor girl-Nayanthara.Krish srikanth is the brand ambassadors of the 'Chennai Super Kings'.

Srikanth said that the team wanted some glamor to be added to counter other IPL teams having the King Khan and Preti Zinta as their ambassadors.Vijay entered the stage with a grand and overwhelming style,much like a Badsha style in a chair spinning around.Vijay said "It is really happy to be a part of our Chennai IPL team,we have some great players and i believe our team will surely win(naama team kandipa Jeyikum!)".He also added that he will be cheering for the Chennai Super kings in every match.He also mentioned that his son is also a great fan of Cricket with a trade mark smile.

However the glamor girl Nayantra was missed out in the event.She couldn't turn to the launch ceremony.The Chennai Super Kings bagged some excellent players in its team and have a really strong team.It was said that four of tamil nadu players will also play in the team including the pacer- Balaji ,who was playing for the Indian ODI team but had a set back due to his injury.The team management said they have worked with the fast bowler and are backing him.I would like to mention that another young player Ashwin an off spinner he also included in the team.This guy studies in my College in my year,(can see him in the college very rarely).

The Chennai Super kings have some eye catch slogan-kinda of wordings.They call their three main players as ,Muralitharan-"The king of doosra ",Hayden -"The king of sixes",Dhoni-"The king of Twenty20".All the three depicted by the pictures of ancient warriors(looks great indeed).The team also includes Stephen Fleming and many good players.The Chennai super kings is all set to rock the Indian Premier League under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Neeya Naana is a wonderful program from Vijay Tv,of debate kind as described in a earlier post.Now,the latest topic in the row was bosses Vs Employees,an excellent topic to discuss and debate about.The arguments in the discussion are whether the bosses are dominate and have slave kinda of harsh treatment against their employees or else if the employees are trouble some to their bosses.This discussion held on march 16th episode.Arguments started from both the sides and a row of complaints were showered from the employee's side.Many arguments were really a happening one at the current industry,such as being over bossy,showing their(bosses)unnecessary anger towards their employees,keeping their employees under ignorance so that their employees won't growth and beat them.Generally bosses don't teach and furnish essential knowledge to be transfered to lower grade employees thinking that they would come up with more talents and take their boss's position.Similarly many complaints were also brought into focus,like the employees are continuously switching jobs without caring about the funds they spend for their training,being careless in their work and so on.Boss's point of view is they want results whatever it matters and they need to push their employees with some harsh and strict manner at times,that is definitively needed in order to keep their jobs done in time.Some good advices came from the boss's side like you need to stick to a company in order to reach greater heights-Survival of the fittest is their slogan.While frequent complaints put forth from the employee side was lack of recognition,relatively lower salaries and bossy treatments.

The discussions were going on in a very serious manner and think points brought into notice from both the sides were really useful and essential for many of the young engineers and college students who are the future of the IT industries in India.The Chief guest came to this episode are the Owner of Vgp sons and an HR professional ,pugzalyedhi i think. They gave away some nice information and advices.The owner of the VGp groups insisted on hard working and many of the owners prefer 'a faithful employee than a talented employee'.While the Hr professional gave some nice points like poor work environment not on the basis of facilities,but on emotional and mental health basis.One nice point which i liked is that the need of creches -Baby care centers,since a worried mother will not fully concentrate and give her 100% in the work and hence resulting in poor effects from employees and also a huge number of employees being recruited nowadays are young girls who will become young mothers after some 4 years and hence Creches will be a essential entity in each of the Industries(great point!).That episode was a part I of this discussion topic and will be continued next week.A nice topic indeed !.

The young Captain of the Indian Cricket Team for ODIs has turned his focus towards his education.Dhoni has expressed his wish you pursue for the BCom course at the St. Xavier College.Dhoni after successfully guiding India to T-20 world cup victory followed by the fabulous victory in the Australian tour has now made his mind to upgrade his educational side.He has planned to join the course beginning in the academic year of 2008 starting from August.Dhoni is seeking the course through Sports quota(Of course should have listed first in that Quota ;)).

Both the students and staffs working at the St. Xavier College are really excited about this.Teenagers dreaming to meet the Captain of the Indian cricket team would now get a chance to be his classmate!.Staffs have expressed a sense of pride of Dhoni studying in their college.But surely the concept of attendance is going to be new and very hard to maintain for Dhoni.Taking his concern the college management has decided to classify Dhoni under special privilege rule and encourage him in all possible means,so that he can complete his graduation successfully.
It would be really nice if I too get a chance to study with him ;).Anyways,All the very Best for Dhoni towards his new goals.And also best wishes from all the 1 billion and 90 lakhs people of India.

One of the biggest protest against the Chinese rule over Tibet broke on 14th of March.This protest can be considered as biggest ever in the last two decades.Tibet always had some reset,continuously protesting against the Chinese rule.This time the Buddhist monks led the protest from the front.Violence broke in Tibet on Friday resulting in many shops and vehicles being torched.Media says gun shots were heard and about ten people where dead according to a official report.Police tried to stop the protesters by throwing Tear gases,while the protesters throw stones and bottles over the hurdled police.

Many countries all over the world had responded to the protest giving out their comments and suggestions.Many countries including US has advised China to negotiate with the protesters in a peaceful manner.Earlier in 1950,Chinese communists invaded Tibet claiming that Tibet belonged to their empire and in having a n Eye on the High mountains of Himalayas.Chinese considered Tibet as a very important region to them with a focus on the Himalayan ranges and as an opportunity for overlooking India using Tibetian ranges for surveillance.
Now,the protests have disturbed the Olympics to be held this year in Beijing.The protests have blocked the ways to Himalayas as an attempt to stop the Olympic torch from reaching the highest point in the world.In this situation the Chinese government have given a deadline till Monday(March 17),for the protesters to surrender,else they have warned to take some severe actions.While the protesters take advantage of the 2008 olympic games to stress china and bring their demands to focus to the whole world.

Varanam Aayiram is really a awaited one as Surya joins hands with Goutham Menon once again after the successful project ‘Kaakka Kaakka’.We get to hear a lots of NEWS and speculation over this movie.Some stuffs that i would like to share goes here.Surya plays the role of a Military officer.Now,the latest buzz over this movie is that Actress Simran is expected to play the role of Surya's Mother!.Guys,remember,Simran and Surya debuted in the same movie-'Nerukku Ner'.But infact she actually plays as Surya's pair in one of his Old get up.That is,Old Simran pairs up with Old surya in the movie ;).However Simran is seemed to be upset with the kinda news spreading saying Simran playing an aged woman's role.
Almost over 80 percent of the movie is completed and is expected to release by August increasing everyones curiosity and anticipation.However the Producer Ravichandiran has lodged a complaint against Gautham Menon for crossing the proposed budget limit.Initially the budget was set to 10.8 crores,but Gautham has demanded for an additional 3 to 4 crores to finish the movie.If all these problems were solved smoothly ,then the movie would release this summer.

Barack Obama is the front-Runner in the American Presidential race,as of now.Though Obama is leading the presidential polls he is being criticized continuously.We can it as criticism or just as a fact indeed.
Obama won at many of the southern states where there is a large number of votes flowing from the Blacks.So the supporters of Hilary Clinton are criticizing him that his victories were only due to the reason that he is Black,Obama's position is tested with such kinds of critics.Barack Obama surely deserves this,he has won several hearts but many in US will view these victories as, the so called Black factor.

One among the recent critics is that Hilary and her supporters invites
Obama to join hands with her by taking the second place,that is as the vice-president.This is the first time ever,where a person in the second place offers the person in the first place,the second place.A bit confusing isn't it?.Hilary indirectly asks Obama to give up his US president dreams and asks him to be his assistant,as the vice-president.But as of now Obama is the front runner.He has clearly said that he will never sitting in the second place.He is surely running to catch up the First position-The US president.He added that he has the majority of the delegates on his side and has promised to form a well united government with his party mates!.He is my favorite too.

Once again the little Master Blaster has reached the top of table in the latest ICC's Top 10 Batsmen in ODI list.Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is once again the Number One batsmen in the world and this time the records and the points in the ICC best batsmen ranking table speaks for itself.Sachin is now at the top with 777 points leaving Ponting behind by 7 points,while Graeme Smith well behind by 24 points.Also to mention the Indian team captain,Mahendra Singh Dhoni has reached the 10th spot in the ICC's best batsmen table. Sachin has come with a bang by hitting a match winning century(117) at the fisrt finals of the CB series.Which was followed by another spectacular knock of 91,which came at the right time and guided India to win the commonwealth Bank series quite comfortably.

Sachin has given a nose breaking reply to his critics,lets his Bat to do the talking.

First of all a big applauds for Our Indian Cricket team on winning the Common Wealth Bank Series.Now we can proudly say that India is not only the supreme power in terms of Money in the cricketing world but also we have proved that we are the super power in terms of playing wonderful and spirited cricket !.We won the Twenty-20 world cup,we won the Under-19 world cup and now we won against the so called mighty OZs in their own backyards.Now,they will realize that they are no more the King of the game.Aussies have lost the crown in the Sydney Test itself,but they are pretty late to realize it.

To remind some of their comments before the commencement of the CB finals,they said indirectly that "we won't be playing a third match".Ya of course now they have kept their words ;).They are not playing the third match,because just two matches is enough to pack them up.I wonder what will be their comment for this banging reply.We would like to give a message to Ponting that if you keep playing like this,your team will never play any matches at all.One kind advice to them "Aussies please try to concentrate on your game.Better go to Nets than to radio stations.Have some Net practice than wasting your time chatting in radio."Please no hard feelings,if you practice you can develop your game,don't give up!.Hey,you can also try the above book,it will be useful ;)......

Its election Time!.Elections are taking place US and Russia.Recently,the Russian presidential elections got over and Mr.Dmitry Medvedev is elected as the President of Russia.Dmitry Medvedev is the election candidate chosen by Mr.Putin or can be said as a successor.Medvedev dominated the polls,he got a majority of 70 % of the votes and won the presidential elections quite comfortably by a huge margin.The election polls had a high turnout,but there were some media critics pointing out that,it was merely the pressure to vote.Some Russian medias said that their people were forced to vote in favor of him.Reports suggested that there was a huge amount of pressure from Mr.Putin and a lot of influence from him.Before Mr.Medvedev's entry into the politics he was taking training as a lawyer and said to have worked along with Mr.Vladimir Putin in St.Petersburg.Also to mention,Medvedev has promised to make Vladimir Putin as his prime minister.
Now,let us focus on another interesting fact about Dmitry Medvedev.I don't think many will know that he has a Indian link.Medvedev's name infact his surname has a origin from Sanskrit and said to have evolved from a Indo-aryan time.Medved is actually a Russian word denoting an animal(bear).But infact this word is derived from a Sanskrit word ->'Madhu vedi',means, an animal which has some knowledge of honey,which actually denotes a bear.You all know that bears love honey :).Wow,thats really a roundabout link crossing the boundaries of language and culture.But this stuff is enough for us to create a link and here comes the gossips"The New Russian president has an Indian Link !." ;)....

Tired of Pen drive Viruses?

    The usage of a pen drive or a flash memory has become a very common thing. Also with the cost of memory chips going down (now you can get a 4GB memory stick for Rs.800) have boosted its usage and also an USB flash drive is compact and very easy to carry around. With the increase in the usage of pen drives, viruses spreading through these memory sticks as increased exponentially.
As such you can't completely prevent the viruses but to minimize these viruses and worms spreading to the PCs we can take some preventive measures.
    Turn off the Auto Run:-
Pen drives uses the Autorun feature to load certain files when it is plugged into a USB port. Now, the worms and viruses uses this autorun feature to spread itself from the thumb drives to the computers. You can avoid majority of these worms spreading by turning off the autorun feature. To do is very simple just follow these steps,

If you are using Win XP Professional edition:-
Click Start button
Select Run.
Now type gpedit.msc in Run command .
You will notice the Group Policy Window opening.
Double click Administrative Templates.
Select System in the right pane of the window.
Now,select(double click)Turn Off AutoPlay .
Turn Off Autoplay properties window opens.
Now.select All Drives from the combo box in that and select Enabled radio button and press OK.

If you are using Win XP Home edition,try these:-
Select Run and type regedit to open the registry editor.
Then navigate as follows

HKEY_CURRENT_USER
--> Software
--> Microsoft
--> Windows
--> CurrentVersion
--> Policies
--> Explorer.

Now,select NODRIVETYPEAUTORUN and select Modify.
Set the Hexadecimal value to 95 to turn off autoplay in removable drives and use b5 to turn off autorun feature in CD-ROMs and pen drives.
Thus turning off autorun feature just stops many malwares from spreading into a PC from a thumb drive.
    Known malwares:
Now you can now delete many worms manually some known viruses are Autorun.inf,iexplore.vbs,ifo.exe,raven.exe,rvhost.exe and NewFolder.exe(a worm looks like folder,but is actually an exe file,a worm).Better to use a nice antivirus and scan for viruses in the plugged in drive before opening it as these files will be hidden or access protected.But however you can view those files in command prompt by first entering into your removable drive(eg: J:)then type the following- attrib -h -r -s -a *.*.After typing that you can view those files.But it is better to use a nice Anti-virus software.
You can also many softwares available(like TrueCrypt) to password protect your pen drive .In such a case a window Pops Up every time when you plug in the drive.This would also help preventing the viruses from loading automatically into the pen drive. Using such softwares will also prevent unauthorized usage of data your drive, especially when your having sensitive information in your drive.

My visit to Passport Office !

Yesterday I went to passport office to apply for my fresh passport along with my friend, Pk. We already registered our appointment online as we thought that would avoid a long queue. Pk was fully prepared ,he completed his application form fully with all possible fields in it filled out. But I didn’t fill my application form fully, I should accept my carelessness. I was watching Behind the enemy lines before the day without filling the form, even as my dad kept on remaining me about my appointment tomorrow .
On 28th myself and pk went to the Chennai regional passport office at Nungambakkam-The Shastri Bhavan.We went to Nungambakkam through train from Tambaram.We started at 8.15am from Tambaram and reached Nungambakkam railway station at 9am.We were said that the frequency of Buses to Shastri Bhavan from Nungambakkam is very less and were told to use a Share-Auto which is a much frequent transport means there. So we caught a share-Auto and reached Shastri bhavan by 9.20.
Our appointment time was 10.15 and I was pretty happy that made before time and that I could fill-in my application in the meanwhile before the appointment time. At first we searched for the queue for online applicants, we expected that one to be a very short queue. But guess what, the queue was really a big one than what we expected . So we decided that let pk occupy the queue and I’ll join him soon after filling in the form. Then started my tense moments. As I opened the form suddenly some doubts araised ,so I thought I could use the some help from those people in front the passport office whose Job were to fill-in the forms and get paid for that.
I choose a guy who looked smart and well educated one.I thought he could help me out. But that man put me in a hell of confusion after he said that the addresses in my Ration card and Voter ID both were different and the officials(so called officials) inside the office will surely reject my application and its totally a waste of time submitting with those useless details. I was really confused. I got panic, ringed up Dad and said these things. I felt like it was a total waste of time with those useless identity proofs. I decided not to submit the application that day and was about to return to my home back, with Zero work done. I really felt blue and was totally upset .Then, suddenly my Dad called me again, and asked me to just have try, else it will be totally foolish to return without even having try at it.
So,I decided to have a last try .This time I went to another old man who is yet another person who fills-in form for money. He said me, that the small difference in address will not be a problem and asked me to go ahead. Now that gave me a lots of confidence. But still on problem, there were already four persons in queue for me and the time was 10.50.God damn ,the time really runs faster when we really don’t want it to do so. The old man understood my position and decided to fill my form at first.
At last, I reached the queue and was still a bit tensed. Then a guy who stood before me spoke to me casually and we had small chat. After that my mercury came down and then I was calm and poised. After that everything went right .Some small usual conversations between the persons in the queue, the policemen ordering the queue occasionally and a beautiful girl joined the queue behind me ;).The queue moved on.
They verified the identity proofs and all required certificates such as Ration card, College bonafide ,birth certificate .After that I paid the amount and finished the work successfully. Thanks to the old man, else I would have returned home without even trying.
Then myself and pk went returned back using the same transport means .Both of us were really tired and we had a train journey without much of words exchanged between us. We reached pk’s home ,had a small chat and I returned back to my home.

Outsourcing Ban by US. will it affect India ?

A recent issue that raised a lot of concern in India and other countries like China-Outsourcing Ban from US.Actually this issue is a matter of concern in America for years.This issue is politicized in the on-going American elections.If such a outsourcing is imposed it will cost a huge amount for developing countries like India.Thousands of job will be lost in Business process outsourcing(BPO) sectors.This issue came into view when the US started reducing the issue of H1B visas and by increasing social taxes being paid by Indian software professionals working temporarily there.
The Americans fear losing their jobs to developing nations like India.But according to many analysts only a very small percent of jobs were only lost to overseas something between 2 to 3 percent.Basically outsourcing started as it costs three times
lesser in setting up a business unit offshore than the one setup in their own nation.Because employees in developing nations like India agree to work for less salary than in the West.Also setting up infrastructure cost will be less.
Now,does really American people lose many jobs to overseas by outsourcing ?.
Lets See what the US Ambassador, Dr David C. Mulford,said in an interview at
New Delhi.He points out that outsourcing is a "global phenomenon" and not restricted to Indo-US trade.And also he said,"Only about 100 to 1,50,000 jobs were being outsourced to India, while about six million jobs are "insourced" into the US."He added,"Governments and American taxpayers will gradually figure out that if they want to pass an outsourcing ban in their communities, then they are going to subsidize jobs and pay higher taxes and there will be fewer jobs in the future."Also an US business report indicated "Only few US jobs are lost because of foreign outsourcing."
Also,there was no legislation in the US that blocked outsourcing,this issue
is just being politicized in the American elections in order to get votes from the working class in their favor.Recently,Democratic party's Hillary Clinton has joined her mutual rival Barak Obama in promising an end to tax breaks to companies that ship jobs overseas to resuscitate her White House bid.She said,"We are going to stop giving a penny of your money to anybody who ships a job out of Texas,Ohio or anywhere else to another country."She said this during a debate with Mr.Obama at University of Texas.
Now,will this issue affect thousands of Indians and working class in developing nations ?.The answer will be yes,but to what extent we have to wait and see.But one good NEWS is that US companies and their trade representatives strongly oppose this ban on Outsourcing and they believe strongly that such a ban will not be Issued.

Now the latest NEWS is Indian Team's ODI captain MS Dhoni is the costliest Cricketer in the world,the highest bid so far at the on-going Indian Premier League auctions in Mumbai- USD 1.5 Million( 6 crores).Whether he is valuable for such a huge amount we will come to it later.But our concern is, placing bids on players and releasing it publicly will grow the ego among the players.It brings in the feeling like one player is more capable or valuable than the another and this may affect the player's moral in their carrier.Is it good for cricket will have to wait for the answers.

A visit to Vellore !!

Very recently i went to vellore with my friends to visit the golden temple and what a memorable trip it was !!!
Monday,18th of February, we had a plan of visiting vellore and so we were supposed come to the IndiraNagar bus stand by 9.30 AM. The bus to vellore starts from there by 10 AM and surprisingly i made there on time, yay !!!. We (me,aslam,vicky,prashanth,srini,arun,abilash,suresh and ayyapan) luckily got a seat from chennai itself.
It took almost 3 hours and 30 minutes to reach the hot city. We had our lunch in a nearby hotel and started marching towards the Vellore fort with no idea about the exact location. Upon inquiring we came to know its some 3 kms away from the bus stand and so we took an auto and reached the fort. As the name suggests i presumed the fort to be a huge one on the top of a mountain(usually it is like that), but to my disappointment it was not on the top of mountain nor huge, but nice.
The fort was built by some king of the Vijayanagar empire in the early 16th century. The main thing you note about this fort is the huge moat surrounding the fort which is brimming with water. Earlier it housed crocodiles and some reptiles but now it has a boat house and boating is one of the attraction for the tourists. We started walking along the long boundary and as we reached a secluded spot we had no idea whether the path continues, but continued on our way since someone said "nera ponga".We witnessed a huge and old building which seemed to us like a prison, It had rusted watchtowers at the corners with no life. We stopped by a huge beautiful banyan, Srini was so amused by its size and quickly grabbed a trunk and climbed. Followed by suresh and ayyapan we people climbed up the tree and were posing like tensing norgay on the everest. Our jubilation brought there a lady constable who inquired about us and only then we came to know that we trespassed Police training school. The lady however was not serious at all but srini was like "actually MAM we are blah blah blah", ha ha.
The notable part of this fort is that it contained a temple, a mosque and a church. However only the temple was open and so we went there. It was a temple to lord shiva who resides there in the name of "Jalakandeshwara". History says that this was built by some vijayanagara king and also the fort held tippu sultan`s family on captivity.
Very soon we left the place for Srini`s uncle`s house in Otteri which is a suburb on the outskirts of the vellore town. We stayed there for some time and had refreshments. WE ARE SO THANKFUL TO HIS UNCLE`S FAMILY who were so so helpful for us. His aunt made the food for all of us and his uncle guided us to the sripuram golden temple which was supposedly the main place of our trip.
It was half past six in the evening when we reached there, that the temple shined in lights and the crowd was also moderate. The place was so serene and pleasant in the dusk. We had our camera ready but unfortunately we were not supposed to use any camera or cell phone in that surrounding place and so we had to leave them in a cloak room. The notable part is that they had separate cloak rooms for mobiles,cameras and bags(money !!!).Soon after leaving the things we entered the temple in a queue, had those usual security checks and all.

The main sanctum is actually located far away from the entrance which is surrounded by a star shaped boundary and anyone who wishes to see the goddess must walk along this star way. It was a lushy green ambiance all the way till the main sanctum. We were supposed to take a circular way around the main sanctum before seeing the goddess and so waited in a long queue. Those who cant wait in the queue can pay 250 bucks and take a shorter path without having to wait(huh). Sadly, the temple authorities paid more attention to them and stalled us for more time until the 250 people depart. It was 7.45 when we were allowed inside and to our surprise we were diverted well before the actual sanctum(We had to see the goddess from a long distance). When asked why is that so a security bugger said that they dont allow people inside after 8( hey bhaskar its not yet 8). We were so so disappointed that coming all the way and not able to see the goddess properly. Huh..
We soon left the temple with the prashadh. And hey i forgot to tell you this thing. We witnessed money thrown everywhere in the name of offering. They had wishing wells everywhere and also we saw a couple of wishing carpet, wishing pit, wishing pillar and wishing whatever. Yes, no place was left. Huh!! The temple management is mking revenue from every possible way (One hundred easy ways to make money).
It was 9 when we all were in vellore wondering what to do, because we will reach chennai at mid night that there might be no buses to home. Some suggested that staying at vellore and departing in the morning is better, but some of us wanted to flee home and so we took a bus and came back here at 12.30.Luckily we had these share autos.
Although the main purpose was not fully satisfied it was a memorable tour, we friends enjoyed it so much.

Engineers in Riots.!

February 15, Panic panic !!! Buses shattered, Laboratories damaged, Debris all over, It all happened in my college yesterday. One of our college buses met with an accident in the college campus and two guys were severely injured and now undergoing treatment in lifeline hospitals, perungudi. It seems that the driver who usually drives rash, tried to take a quick turn at the college entrance and lost control of the bus which slided away from the road and banged on one of the pillars. Two guys who were sitting by the window had a severe blow and one of them is in a critical state now. Oh god. As a result third year guys on the rampage, destroyed almost everything in their sight.
Although i have not traveled in the college bus i know the status of them, Very poorly maintained. Our management never spends money on anything, but has loads of it. Every time a bus will be in not working condition and quite often they will change the buses and their routes, again Poor management. Having known all these the drivers should not take chances with the bus even if they are well skilled. Now see, two innocent guys had to be the victims of the fate. I hope they will recover soon with no major lose, pray thee.

CHENNAI: Hundreds of agitated students of Thangavelu Engineering College in Karapakkam, damaged more than half-a-dozen college buses and classrooms after fellow students suffered injuries when the college bus rammed into the main entrance, on Feb 15th.
Girish Kumar, a third year BE Computer Science student, and M Ganish Kumar, a first year BE Electronics and Communication student, were injured when the bus hit one of the pillars of the entrance structure.
The incident occurred at 8 am and the students alleged that the driver was over speeding. The injured were admitted to a private hospital where they underwent surgeries for multiple fractures.
It is learnt that the condition Girish Kumar was critical. "He is our only son and studies well. We are worried about him", said A Ravichandran, father of Girish Kumar.
"They charge Rs 10,000 a year for college bus. Yet this is the way the buses are operated," a parent rued. Though the students went on a rampage, the police are yet to arrest the driver.
However, the police have warned the students of serious action if they continued to damage the property of the institution, a senior police officer said.
"We have not registered cases against the students. It is quite natural that they turn violent over such instances", Thoraipakkam police said. Meanwhile, the management has closed the college until further notice and have also asked the hostellers to go home.

CHENNAI: Despite paying lakhs for their studies, students of Thangavelu Engineering College have to contend with a whole lot of problems like unhygienic water, poor quality food, toilets without water supply and broken flush.

The plight of those staying in hostels is far worse due to severe water shortage. “The hostel warden used to tell us to store water at least for a week,” they lamented.
The college is charging Rs 60,000 fee for BE Computer Science under management quota and Rs 43,000 for those who join after counselling held by Anna University. A capitation fee of over Rs 1 lakh is also charged for a seat under management quota, said a student.
Recently students were warned of severe disciplinary action when they protested against lack of basic amenities. “College authorities have warned that they will rate us low in internal assessment. Some of the students were barred from attending the classes because they protested,” students said.

Floating Fountain at Marina !!!

The Chennai Corporation is planning to install two floating fountains in the sea waters off the Marina Beach.The fountains would serve as a tourist attraction, especially at night when they would be lit up in bright colours.The water spray would go up over 100 feet (WOW!!!)so that people can view the fountains even from a distance.Floating fountains have a base that is made of rugged materials such as fibreglass.Jets of water are pumped through nozzles on the base and can be controlled to form different shapes.

Just Imagine !

The Corporation has invited bids from firms that would design, install and maintain the fountains.A floating fountain is also being planned on the Cooum river, and a point near Napier Bridge is being considered as a suitable location. Now that sounds unbelievable.But that is what the news says. Lets see!!

A day of Composite Happenings.

26th January 2008 marks two famous events, One as you all know is our Republic day and the other is the Odyssey Quiz. We planned to attend it, as usual and so we had to assemble at the MCC by 12 pm. I however woke up at eleven only :D.. And when i was wondering about the plan , krishna called me and asked me to come at the earliest and so i hastened. I somehow managed to be at MCC by 12.15 and there i saw Vinod waiting for us. Joined by Sundar and Krishna , we started marching towards the Bus stand and took a 21g from there. As we were(sundar,me and vinod) wait-listed team, we had to go soon and confirm our seating, But luckily Ramesh anna had an extra team booked and so we took that seating. As people we were occupying their seats at the music academy we too searched for ours and got it. As we were about to sit, a strong male voice ordered(wtf) us to leave a seat in between them and us thinking we might copy their answers(WTF) and its none other than the avid quizzer Mr.V.V.Ramanan(what a gentleman!). But unfortunately the seats were exactly numbered and nothing like leaving a seat empty. So, Amidst the strong radiation around us( VV on the left, IIT on the right, naveen jaykumar behind and of course kk besides us) we wrote the prelims.

Soon in no time, the quiz master,Mr.Pravin gode, gave the answers and we got 8 or 9 out of 35, which according to the odyssey standards is a decent score. After a break of 30 mins the finals started. And hey, before that the QM announced the best school teams and the best team names that attracted him. As usual the team names were resembling the recent incidents in the usual funny manner., and so the QM read out some names form the top ten. The second team name was " Nano, Tata Polaamaa" and believe it or not, WE got the first and the best team name !!! Yay !! Pravin gode romba nallavan.. We were surprised and we screamed in joy !! :)

The finalists were so obvious . The same eight teams and the same position on the stage. Wah !. And the quiz went serious as its meant only for such serious avid quizzers. Finally, "Moon Shine" came third, "QED "came second and yet another time "Meta Quizzikes" was the winner of Odyssey Quiz. It was all over by 21.00 hrs and sundar went to collect our prize backstage. As we stepped out of the place, we were notified that the RESULTS had come!!! And this time its very very odd. Most of us expected an arrear is dsp, but almost all cleared it. But then, Unexpected results for most of my friends(got arrear in the sub they did well). WTF !! AU once again Sucks.
And so the day turned out to an woeful ending. Huh...

WOW its a NANO !!!

Tata unveiled their One lakh car has promised in style.The car is really stylish and has a compact look. Its 5 seater car with attractive looks for its size.Tata has promised that I passes all the safety norms and follows Euro-IV emission standards.

Moving on to the technical specifications it has a 623CC engine with 32HP,well that’s really least powered car I have ever heard of and also it is 8% smaller in size than Maruti 800 and 4% wider than it. But its engineering makes it 21% more spacious than maruti 800. Now that’s really a good news to hear. But what about the power and top speeds. Well to be frank this car is targeted to upgrade all two wheelers to be proud car owners and it targets ladies who wish to have a smooth ride. But of course people will consider the cost of maintenance into account before upgrading from two wheelers into Nano. But Nano is surely fuel efficient with a 23KMPL !!!.So its surely a tempting car for Middle class families who tend to buy new smart and cheap car.

A car at the cost of one lakh ($ 2500),wow many bikes in Metro cities costs more than that. Now with the introduction of People’s car many fear a congestion in the metropolitan cities. It is predicted that the number of cars would have a exponential increase !.Do we have the infrastructure to support such a huge number of private vehicles on road ?. that’s a Big question mark. All these speculations will be answered soon when the car hits the market in September. Nano a Boom or bane !!!;Who knows ,but surely its gonna revolutionize the four wheeler industries.

Dream project for Tambaram !

Tambaram fly over one the most awaited highways project among chennai suburbs.The flyover project, connecting East and West Tambaram, across a railway level-crossing.The project was proposed in 1995.This over bridge would avoid congestion at the busy tambaram railway crossing and will avoid waiting for the signal in the morning busy hours.Many people in and around east tambaram were struggling to get cross the track daily during office hours ,nervously looking at their watches and thinking about their monstrous Boss's face and how to explain them of coming late to their offices.Now this project will ease all the traffic across the east and west tambaram.
The bridge from Velachery side (East Tambaram) to Mudichur (West Tambaram) will have two ramps one on either side of the Chennai-Tiruchi National Highway 45, after crossing the railway line. A traffic circle would be provided on the bridge to regulate road traffic at the junction in accordance to the official plans.

A survey quoted in Hindu says that at least 14 lakh people, including 50,000 students, used the area every day and that people from neighboring villages who alight at east Tambaram, had to walk three-fourths of a kilometer to the bus stand.Much to the delight of three-wheelers who are readily waiting to catch their 'sawaaries' and they even fix the rates unusually high during peak hours taking their full advantage.

And now at last, as the work has just started,we here some rumors of stay orders requested from individual shop owners and colleges nearby to stop the construction temporarily for their own inconvenience.
Will the project be completed soon?? When ?? or atleast will be it completed??? Lets hope..
